Juice the wheatgrass wrapped in spinach first. Add the pineapple spear to juice the wheatgrass through.

1 cup cherries (pits removed)
1 sweet potato
1/4 turnip

Juice all ingredients in the Jack La Lanne Juicer.

Carrot Ginger Soup

2 cups carrot juice
1/2 cup plain yogurt
1 1/2 tbsp. ginger juice
fresh black pepper

Mix all ingredients. Chill before serving. Add pepper to taste.

6 stalks asparagus (remove fibrous end)
1/2 lemon

1 crisp apple (washed and stems removed)

Garden Vegetable Soup

4 tomatoes
2 cups fresh tomato juice
2 florets of cauliflower
1/2 cup of spinach
1 clove garlic
1/2 red pepper
1 carrot
1 piece fennel 1 inch thick white only
1 fresh sage leaf

Use the juicer to get 2 cups of tomato juice. Place all ingredients in a blender and puree. Simmer in low heat for about 5 minutes. Season with sea salt and pepper.

2 carrots
1 potato
2 broccoli florettes
1/2 small beet
1/4 red pepper
1 tomato
1/4 cucumber

Add to juicer in listed order.

Dear Mr Lalanne, I wanted to take the time to say thank you for the Jack Lalanne juicer. I purchased the juicer a couple of years ago. It sat on my kitchen counter nice and shinny for about a year and a half. As the time passed I had been fighting problems with Hypertension since 2005. Actually, I did a life change on my diet in 2005. No fried foods, cut starches down, stop eating bread ( at least white bread), and no alchohol, sodas, or coffee. Increased my water intake and exercised 3 to 4 times a week (walking for 30 to 45 minutes). I thought I was doing all the right things. But I continued to gain weight and my blood pressure continued to go up. I became frustrated, walking became boring. I would eat sweets not knowing I was becoming depressed. Then I started taking breaks from the exercise, to myself I would thingk it’s not helping anyway. Still thinking what can I do to make my health better. I’m going to try juicing in. In July 2009 I began using my Jack Lalanne Jucier. I  was amazed at how delicious the drinks tasted with all the fruits and vegetables I was putting in them. After a week, I began to feel more energetic. In August 2009, I was involved in a serious car accident, their were 2 fatalities. I was saved by the grace of God with minor injuries. So now I have a herniated disk in my lower back. As I went through the physical therapy, I continued to think I will be fine and back to my old self soon. I continued to make my juices, which helped me so much. In Nov. 2009 my blood pressure was becoming hard to control. I new something was wrong. I went to a cardiologist. He was so positive and encouraging. He told me your not dying on me and you are going to be okay. He changed my medication and explained my cholesterol is high (bad 159). Your sugar is high (129). The Doctor said I want you to start taking cholesterol medication and diabeties medication. I told the Doctor okay, but I’m not a diabetic. I am 54 years old in the prime of my life. He said okay, we will run the test again in 30 days. I began using my Jack Lalanne Jucier twice a day, making a wonderful tasty drink in the morning full of apples, oranges, strawberry, blueberries, carrot, and my secret ingredient egg plant water (freshly made).  Exercise 3 times a week. Cut all salt, flour, sugar, and pasta from my diet. Jan. 28, 2010, I was tested again. The Doctor say’s he is so proud of me. My bad cholesterol came down 30 points to 129 and my sugar was 80 (normal) and my pressure was 125/85. He say’s we still need to work on your cholesterol. I had to admit to the Doctor, I never began taking the medication for diabeties or cholesterol. He said then what did you do. I told him, I juice. I use the Jack Lalanne juicer. He said how do you do it. I expalined how I make the drinks. He say’s what ever you are doing don’t stop. I want stop. This is only the beginning. I want to say “THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU”, Mr Jack Lalanne. Your juicer, has changed my life. Now I make juice fro friends and family when they come over and they love it. My sister bought one of your juicer’s recently and called me and asked me how to use it to help bring her husbands cholesterol down. Imagine that. I borrowed my roommates mom’s power juicer to see if the commercials were correct. They are 100% true! I LOVED the taste of the juice! I recently received the Jack LaLanne Power Juicer as a gift. I am writing to inform that it is quite possibly the best gift I’ve ever received. I have always been skeptical of any product advertised on TV; but I was wrong about the power juicer. The speed of the machine is incredible, along with its quiet operation, and the ability to juice almost any fruit or vegetable I can imagine is simply wonderful. Also, the range of uses for the pulp seems to be never ending. The only problem I have with the machine is the amount of cleanup required once the juice is made. However, a little cleanup is well worth the amazing feeling I get knowing that I can make my own juice. With the juicer, I also received a copy of Elaine’s Total Juicing guide. Mr. LaLanne, I am soldier serving in the United States Army currently deployed to Iraq. I just would like you to know that your power juicer is wonderful. This juicer is amazing! My 2 year old son loves to throw the fruit in the cute and then try all of our wonderful combinations when we are done. Jack, I remember watching you on black and white TV when I was a small child. I’m 47 now. You have always inspired me. I had a different juicer product before and it was okay. Clean up was horrible and the white plastic was stained immediately – never to bewhite again. I watched your commercial on TV recently and was very intrigued. I have been juicing with an old centrifigal juicer as of last week, but the clean up is terrible, you have to dig out the pulp from inside. I decided to order the Power Juicer Pro and have been so anxious to get it that I could hardly wait. I checked the delivery status everyday. I got my Jack LaLanne Power Juicer today. I couldn’t wait to try it out. It is amazing. I couldn’t believe how quiet it is. I do not get enough fruits and vegtabels in my diet. This is one way I can get my full servings of fruits and vegtables. I put in carrots, oranges strawberries, blueberries, brocclie, bannanas and some apples. It was absolutely delicious. I bought the Magic Bullet awhile ago and the juicer came with it but it wasted so much and it was very noisy. I cannot believe how much more juice I get from this beautiful machine. I’ve had my power juicer pro for a little over a week now and just love it. The juice you get from the juicer is nothing like frozen or bottled juice. I’ve read others comments about this machine being to much of a mess but have found that juicing more slowly helps. This juicer really is better than others that I\’ve owned. I have the Power juicer classic and I love it. I had it only for a week now and the machine is so effective that it squeezes out juice completely. I have never thought that any juicer can be this good. Cleaning is time consuming though not difficult. I feel like this purchase was worth my money. I recommend this to everyone.

I am from Trinidad & Tobago, I juice regularly. Once day I went into Pricesmart and saw this Jack Lalanne\’s Power Juicer. I watched it for awhile and pondered whether it was worth buying. I decided to pay the extra dollars and give it a try although I had a juicer but I needed something that would give me more juice. The other juicers I found wasted my vegetables. The first time I used it, I got I would say more than 30 percent more juice. I was amazed, the other juicer I have is parked up and I am not going back to it. This Power Juicer is worth the money I paid for it. I would recommend this to anyone. I am extremely satisfied with and it is working well.

Of course, I love my Power Juicer! It is very attractive, and I am proud to display it on my kitchen countertop; it is a great conversational piece! I find it very easy to use, and I am absolutely amazed at how dry the remaining pulp is! This means that I am getting every bit of that luscious and healthy juice I can. But of course, I would never throw away that nutritious pulp! When juicing vegetables, I save the pulp in a ziploc in my freezer, and add it to my soups and sauces. It adds wonderful flavor and texture to my finest spaghetti sauce! The juicer is remarkably easy to clean. I simply rinse and brush the screen, and rinse the other parts. Because I do this immediately after juicing, there is no fussing at all! I also receive the Protein Powder. It has a mild vanilla flavor that blends well with my juices; especially the fruit juice. It reminds me of a smoothie. The high quality proteins added to the fresh juice gives me abundant energy to get me through my workday with energy to spare! I simply can’t say enough about Jack’s juicer! I have had other juicers, including a very expensive “whole food” model. I choose to use my Powerjuicer over that one, because the juice tastes better to me, it’s easier to use, and of course I have the benefit of using the pulp to enhance my other healthy recipes! My mother works for an organic health food store and I had always grown up knowing I could take better care of my health. I have not used the Power Juicer jet but can not wait. When I was 13 years old in 1967 I was in a head on with my grandparants and I had a seat belt on but the seat went forward and my face went throug the window and my jaw hit the dase borad. The doctors but me but together, but in the last four years my left jaw became damage. Q. Why won’t the power turn on?
A. First, check that the switch is in the on position. Then, check that all parts are assembled properly. The unit has a built-in safety device that will not let the motor turn on if not assembled properly. The Power Juicer also has a built-in Thermal Cut Off Safety Switch. If the machine was running, then shut down due to accidental overheating, then there is a 10 minute cooling time before the machine will restart. This helps to protect the motor from seizing.

A. This may happen for a number of reasons:

1. If the fruit you are using is over ripe.
2. If there is too much pulp in the filter. Turn the machine off and clean the filter.
3. If you are using fruits such as bananas or avocado. These fruits cannot be juiced in the Power Juicer. Add them separately to a blender for smoothies.
4. The spout may be blocked by a piece of pulp that may have passed through the filter causing the juice to collect in the receptacle and overflow. Turn the machine off, wait for the blade to stop spinning and inspect the spout. Clear the blockage so the juice can flow freely.

A. Yes, as long as it fits in the chute and does not have large pits or hard skins. Due to personal preferences and nutritional opinions it is difficult to determine an individuals eating habits. Before juicing any produce it is important to wash it thoroughly to remove dirt and pesticides.

A. The inside diameter of the chute is approximately 3”.

Q. How can I juice carrots?
A. Carrots can be a bit challenging to juice due to their dense nature and irregular shape. Do not over stuff the chute. Leave some room on the sides to be able to maneuver the carrots while juicing. They tend to bounce around in the chute. Use the pusher to guide them to the blade.

Q. Can I add ice or liquid to the Power Juicer?
A. No, ice turns to water and any other liquid that is poured in will cause an abundance of liquid in the receptacle. It will overflow and run out the sides of the receptacle. Add these items separately in a glass, pitcher or blender.

Q. How can I get berry juice to come out of the receptacle?
A. Follow the berries with a fruit or vegetable that contains a larger volume of juice. These fruits will produce more juice and push the berry juice through the receptacle. If you choose to juice only berries then take the machine apart and empty juice from the receptacle into a glass or bowl.

Q. How can I get more pulp for cooking recipes?
A. Unfortunately you may have to juice quite a bit to get a lot of pulp. The Jack LaLanne Power Juicer gives up to 30% more juice than other juicers so there is usually not a lot of pulp left. The good news is you can freeze the pulp in airtight bags or containers. So every time you make fresh juice, just freeze the pulp until you are ready to use it.

A. To get the full benefits of fresh juice it is best if you drink it right away. As fresh juice sits it looses significant amounts of vitamins and nutrients. Some juices last longer than others and refrigerate well as long as they are in a sealed container. They can only be kept for a few hours. Preferably in a glass covered container so the flavor is not altered. You can add a few drops of lemon juice to help maintain the flavor. Here is a list of juices that refrigerate well: carrot, apple, orange, pear, grape, grapefruit, pineapple, kiwi, prune, peach, celery, and beet juice. You can also freeze fresh juice the same way. Juice can be frozen in an airtight container for up to one month.
